BMW is celebrating one of the most iconic names in motorsport with the introduction of the 2025 BMW M4 CS VR46, a special edition of the high-performance M4 CS crafted to honor nine-time motorcycle racing champion and current BMW Motorsport Works driver Valentino Rossi. Limited to just 92 units worldwide, with 46 finished in Frozen Tanzanite Blue Metallic and 46 in Marina Bay Blue Metallic, this exclusive model pays tribute to “The Doctor” on his 46th birthday. The BMW M4 via a dedicated registration page, with a starting MSRP of $155,000 plus destination charges.
A Design That Screams VR46 DNA
The BMW M4 CS VR46 captures Rossi’s unmistakable racing identity and personality. The two bespoke paint finishes are enhanced by bold “46” graphics on the sides, contrasting in Frozen Marina Bay Blue or darker Tanzanite Blue Metallic depending on the base color. Further setting this edition apart are striking Sao Paulo Yellow accents, found on the kidney grille surround, a single spoke on the M light alloy wheels, and the bright yellow brake calipers emblazoned with the M logo. The carbon fiber roof is adorned with a large VR46 logo and Valentino Rossi’s signature.
Inside, the M4 CS VR46 continues its exclusive theme with Black/Night Blue Merino leather M Carbon bucket seats, detailed with Sao Paulo Yellow Alcantara shoulder accents and VR46 branding on the headrests and door sills. The M Alcantara steering wheel features yellow contrast stitching and a signature 12 o’clock yellow marker, adding an extra touch of race-ready aggression. Meanwhile, the carbon center console bears a special VR46 edition plaque.
Track-Tuned Performance with 543 Horsepower
Under the hood, the BMW M4 CS VR46 is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology producing 543 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission and the intelligent M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, the M4 CS VR46 rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 188 mph with the standard M Driver’s Package.
To handle the immense power and precision demands of track performance, BMW has fine-tuned the M adaptive suspension, electromechanical M Servotronic steering, and an integrated braking system. The M Compound brakes, featuring six-piston fixed calipers in the front and single-piston floating calipers in the rear, ensure unparalleled stopping power. The ultra-high-performance tires (275/35ZR19 front, 285/30ZR20 rear), mounted on forged light alloy wheels, provide exceptional grip and control for both street and track driving.
A Racing Legacy Embedded in Every Detail
The number 46 has been Rossi’s signature since his racing debut, inspired by his father Graziano Rossi’s racing career. Throughout Valentino Rossi’s journey, he amassed nine world championships, including victories in 125cc, 250cc, 500cc, and MotoGP, making him one of the most decorated riders in history. His global fanbase and influence on motorsport culture are reflected in this one-of-a-kind BMW M4 CS VR46.
Following his legendary MotoGP career, Rossi transitioned into automobile racing and became a BMW M Motorsport works driver in 2023, competing in GT World Challenge Europe, FIA WEC, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The M4 CS VR46 not only commemorates his racing achievements but also showcases his continued impact in high-performance motorsports.
