The Stark VARG SM Sköll Is a 500-Unit Study in Blacked-Out Restraint

“The sun sets. The hunt begins.” Stark Future built the VARG SM Sköll around Norse mythology’s wolf that chases the sun into darkness, and the bike itself follows through: a numbered limited edition of just 500 units, with every eligible component on the machine taken to black.

Barcelona-based Stark Future has built its reputation on electric platforms that outperform their combustion equivalents outright, and the Sköll is the brand leaning fully into its own design identity rather than just its performance numbers.

VARG SM Sköll’s Total Blackout Treatment

Through a combination of anodizing, powder-coating, and deep-black treatments, the Sköll takes its triple clamps, steering stem, swingarm, motor housing, inverter body, docking station, and even the charging port cap to black. The top and bottom triple clamps carry individual limited-edition engraving, numbered out of the 500-unit run.

One component was left alone on purpose. The 520 RK MXU chain keeps its gold finish against a 7075 T6 rear sprocket, standing as the single intentional break in an otherwise total blackout. It’s a small detail, but it’s the kind of restraint that separates a genuinely considered design from a bike that simply painted everything the same color.

VARG SM Sköll Sheds Weight in Titanium

Beyond the finish, the Sköll cuts 1.1 kg from the standard VARG SM entirely through titanium: 3D-printed titanium footpegs and a complete titanium bolt kit bring claimed weight down to 123.4 kg, the lightest VARG SM Stark has built. That’s paired with the brand’s full ALPHA specification, 80 hp and 914 Nm at the rear wheel, delivered through a single-speed direct drive with no gearbox and no clutch.

A 7.2 kWh battery doubles as a structural chassis member, and the Arkenstone display adds turn-by-turn navigation, GPX recording, and over-the-air updates on top of the standard VARG SM’s existing tech. KYB suspension and Brembo brakes round out a spec sheet built to match the visual statement. The seat itself carries a Simil-Alcantara cover, a small material choice that fits the same considered approach applied everywhere else on the bike.

VARG SM Sköll Pricing and Exclusivity

Pricing lands at $14,990, with first deliveries beginning October 2026. Stark has confirmed there’s no second production run planned once the 500 units are gone, which puts the Sköll closer to a genuine collectible than a standard trim option, the same instinct Stark Future has carried since it first started building bikes at all, and one shared by other electric platforms pushing the category in different directions.

Most limited editions announce themselves through what they add. The Sköll makes its case through what it deliberately left alone, one gold chain against an otherwise complete blackout, and that restraint is worth more than another badge or graphic package would have been.
