Triumph Motorcycle gets down and dirty with its first offering to the motocross world, the 250cc Triumph TF 250-X.

Triumph Motorcycles is making a bold entrance into the motocross arena with its latest innovation, the Triumph TF 250-X. This groundbreaking motocross bike is set to elevate the 250cc class with a meticulously engineered design and a powerful specification package. Anticipated to launch at the start of 2024, the Triumph TF 250-X is primed to set new standards in the motocross world and become a symbol of motocross excellence.

This bike is the fruit of Triumph’s extensive in-house development, achieved in collaboration with motocross icons Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes. The TF 250-X is a comprehensive reimagining of what a 250cc motocross bike can be.

The heart of the TF 250-X is its robust engine – a single-cylinder 4-stroke DOHC power unit with a 249.95 cc displacement, 78 mm bore, and 52.3 mm stroke. The 14.4 compression ratio and Dell’Orto EFI system provide precise fuel management, while the 5-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate Belleville spring clutch ensure smooth power delivery. The bike also offers advanced engine management and tunability, further enhanced by the optional MX Tune Pro app for real-time mapping and diagnostics.

The TF 250-X boasts an impressive range of features. Its powertrain is ultra-compact and lightweight, and includes a forged aluminum piston, titanium valves, and diamond-like carbon low-friction coatings. The bike’s aluminum chassis is both durable and lightweight, and it also has a high-quality suspension and braking system.

Triumph’s new dirt menace maintains a compact and agile profile, with an 836mm width and 1270mm height without mirrors. The 960mm seat height caters to rider comfort, while the 1492mm wheelbase and 27.4º rake ensure stability and precision handling. The bike also features a 7-liter fuel tank, balancing capacity with its sleek design.

Priced at £9,795 ($12,427 USD), the Triumph TF 250-X represents commitment to innovation, as they confidently step into the motocross class with a model that is set to redefine expectations.
