When California-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Ryvid joined forces with Sosa Metalworks, the result was the futuristic Sosa Custom Ryvid Anthem. This collaboration brought together Ryvid’s cutting-edge electric motorcycle design and Sosa Metalworks’ expertise in traditional metal fabrication, resulting in a motorcycle that seamlessly bridges the past and the future.
Crafted by custom bike builder Cristian Sosa, the Sosa Custom Ryvid Anthem is a marvel of design and engineering. Sosa, known for his intricate metalwork and starring role on the Discovery Channel’s “Counting Cars,” took on the challenge of creating a truly unique electric motorcycle. Despite being his first foray into electric motorcycles, Sosa’s craftsmanship shone through, delivering a visually striking bike that retains all the practical functionalities of the original Anthem.

The Sosa Custom Ryvid Anthem is a retro-inspired yet futuristic machine. It showcases classic and advanced visual elements that result in an aggressive and refined appearance.
One of the standout features of the Ryvid Anthem is its removable 4.3kWh battery with an integrated charger, powering a 72V air-cooled, brushless DC motor. Sosa ensured that his custom design retained the Anthem’s unique height-adjustable seat and removable battery, integrating these features seamlessly into the new bodywork. The seat unit, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, can still be raised and lowered electronically, and the battery can be easily accessed for remote charging.
A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, Sosa found that riding the Anthem shifts the focus from the motor to the ride, offering a different but equally enjoyable experience. The bike’s lightweight (313 pounds) and responsive handling make it a joy to ride, whether navigating city streets or open roads.

In addition to the success of the Anthem project, Ryvid has recently unveiled its second model, the Outset, at the 2024 One Motorcycle Show. Based on the Anthem’s frame, battery, and motor, the Outset features a scrambler-style design with taller suspension and wider handlebars, expanding Ryvid’s lineup of innovative electric motorcycles.
