Beachman Electric Café Racer: A Vintage Aesthetic Recharged

Beachman Motor Company has reopened the book on retro-cool with the debut of its Beachman Electric Café Racer—the all-new ’64 Street Spec. Priced at a base of $5,750, this low-profile machine is a modern reinterpretation of the London café racer motorcycles that ran the streets in the 1960s. This time, however, it’s silent and sustainable.

With its bubble-shaped windscreen, hand-stitched leather saddle, and slick street tires, the Beachman Electric Café Racer oozes old-school charm while boasting contemporary electric performance. Designed for the gentleman rider, it blends minimalist elegance with everyday usability.

With the company now officially licensed as a Canadian Federal and SAE-certified OEM, the Beachman Electric Café Racer is offered in multiple formats—e-bike, moped, and light motorcycle—to suit your ride style, experience level, and local licensing laws.

Beachman Electric Café Racer: Performance Meets Personality

Underneath its swoon-worthy silhouette, the Beachman Electric Café Racer is a highly capable, city-ready ride. Riders can select from three distinct performance modes: E-Bike Mode caps speed at 20 mph for casual, no-license cruising; Moped Mode bumps the thrill up to 30 mph; and Off-Road Mode unleashes the full punch at 45 mph. If you opt for the Light Motorcycle Street Spec version, top speed climbs to 50 mph, making it an ideal commuter in high-traffic metros.

Range is equally respectable. The removable 2.8 kWh lithium battery delivers up to 55 miles on a full charge, with a 3.6 kWh upgrade available for up to 70 miles. Thanks to regenerative braking and built-in charge ports, the system is both energy-efficient and travel-friendly. Need a quick boost? A fast charger upgrade gets you to 80% in just 90 minutes.

But beyond numbers, what really sets the ’64 Street Spec apart is its dedication to rider enjoyment. It avoids overloading the rider with tech-heavy distractions—there’s no complicated app, no subscription services, just a throttle, brakes, and freedom. Beachman nailed the balance between modern utility and classic moto-simplicity, offering a ride that feels as natural as it is thrilling.

Beachman Electric Café Racer: Craftsmanship and Custom Options

Customization is where the Beachman Electric Café Racer really shines. For an additional $550, riders can opt for hand-applied pinstriping and artisan detailing. Want to match your bike to your vintage Porsche or favorite jacket? A full bespoke paint job is available for $1,000. Whether you’re leaning into the timeless “Stay True” dark leather aesthetic or going bold with a custom hue, this bike becomes an extension of your personality.

The inspiration behind this model is rooted in personal passion. Co-founder and lead designer Adam says, “I grew up idolizing the beautiful swept-cowl bikes of the 1960s London Café racer scene, so getting to finally release one of our own is a dream.” Following the wild success of their Scrambler Spec—evoking the dusty freedom of 1970s California—the Street Spec brings the same energy into an urban, buttoned-up silhouette made for street-savvy riders.

And while the bike was born in Canada, its appeal is global. From Manhattan’s downtown alleys to San Francisco’s scenic side streets, the Beachman Electric Café Racer is built to blend right in—while standing out.
