The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 aspires to revolutionize the supercar scene with its unprecedented power, advanced design, and exceptional performance. The car features the most powerful V8 engine ever created in America by an auto manufacturer, boasting a 5.5L, twin-turbocharged DOHC flat-plane crank V8 engine known as the LT7. This engine generates an incredible 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, setting a new standard in American automotive engineering.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 delivers a GM-estimated top speed of over 215 mph on the track and can complete a quarter-mile in under 10 seconds. Its carbon fiber aero package produces over 1,200 pounds of downforce at top speed, ensuring exceptional track grip. One of the car’s most iconic design features is the revival of the split rear window, paying homage to Corvette’s rich heritage, ala the 1963 Corvette Stingray. “The team that redefined Corvette with a mid-engine architecture took on another challenge: to take ZR1 to the next level,” said Scott Bell, Vice President, Chevrolet. “Corvette ZR1 is about pushing the envelope with raw power and cutting-edge innovation.”
The ZR1’s 5.5L LT7 twin-turbocharged DOHC V8 engine builds on the same architecture as the Z06’s LT6 but incorporates twin turbochargers for the first time in a factory Corvette. The engine features unique head castings, a larger combustion chamber, optimized valve train timing, a new intake system, and CNC machined ports. It also includes dual, ported shroud, ball bearing, mono-scroll turbochargers with electronic wastegates and intelligent anti-lag engine calibration techniques that adapt to driving styles. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is upgraded to handle the increased power with stronger input shafts, increased gear capacity, and improved oil management.

Form and function collide as the new Corvette is designed to deliver unmatched aerodynamics and downforce. It features a flow-through hood, carbon fiber side profile air ducts, and unique fresh air intake ducts. The optional ZTK performance package adds a high-downforce rear wing, front dive planes, and a tall hood Gurney lip, all constructed from woven carbon fiber. The suspension system includes stiffer springs and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires for superior track performance.

Regarding braking, the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 employs a new system featuring carbon ceramic rotors, the largest ever on a Corvette. The front rotors measure 15.7 inches in diameter, and the rear rotors are 15.4 inches. This system ensures exceptional braking performance, with the car able to decelerate from 80-200 mph and back to 80 mph in just 24.5 seconds, significantly quicker than its predecessors.
The design aesthetic includes a carbon fiber roof, unique aluminum wheels in four finishes, and optional carbon-fiber wheels to reduce mass. The interior is equally impressive, with unique ZR1 badging, a new finishing stitch pattern, and a boost gauge highlighting the factory turbocharged engine. Customers can also choose from new exterior colors, such as Competition Yellow, Hysteria Purple, and Sebring Orange, as well as various interior customization options.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be produced at the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky. This model joins the Corvette Stingray, Corvette Z06, and Corvette E-Ray, continuing to elevate the Corvette progressive model lineup.
