This release is a new iteration of the Double Double 21 Year Old, crafted under the expertise of Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, employing Dewar’s signature four-stage aging process, culminating in a unique finish within French oak casks that have been stone toasted using Icelandic magma stones.
The stone toasting process involves heating the casks with Icelandic magma stones, which opens the oak’s pores without charring, thus enhancing the whisky’s fruitiness, finesse, and elegance, while minimizing the overt influence of oak. The result? A complex flavor profile featuring notes of cinnamon, cloves, creamy caramel, baked apples, and toasted cereals, complemented by a subtle, lingering smokiness.
Bottled at 46% ABV, the Double Double 21 Stone Toasted Limited Edition is available in 750ml bottles, with a price tag of $139.99.
