Char & Stave Coffee Liqueur

National Coffee Day is on September 29, and coffee lovers have more than just their morning brew to look forward to. Char & Stave is making a bold entrance into coffee-based spirits. In collaboration with their parent company, Jared Adkin’s Bluebird Distilling, they are launching not one but two premium spirits: the Char & Stave Coffee Liqueur and the Char & Stave Café Amaro.

The launch marks Char & Stave’s first foray into spirits production, bringing together the artistry of coffee roasting and the craftsmanship of distillation. Both liqueurs are composed using Char & Stave’s signature Arabica coffee beans and Bluebird Distilling’s scratch-made spirit base.

Jared Adkins explained, “We’ve been producing craft spirits at Bluebird Distilling for nearly a decade. Introducing our Char & Stave coffee brand to the spirits world feels like a natural next step. Our coffee liqueurs are designed to be versatile. Whether you’re mixing up an Espresso Martini, a Coffee Negroni, or enjoying it over ice as a nightcap, they bring a new depth to coffee cocktails.”

Char & Stave Classic Coffee Liqueur is a premium coffee liqueur that is 60-proof and comes in a 750 ml bottle priced at $34.99. It is made one batch at a time with no artificial flavors. This liqueur has a velvety smooth mouthfeel, with prominent savory chocolate notes, subtle hints of citrus, and a sweet dried fruit finish.

Char & Stave Café Amaro, also 60-proof, is a bittersweet coffee liqueur and comes in a 750 ml bottle priced at $39.99. It combines the richness of coffee with a balance of citrus and botanicals, including orris root, angelica, cardamom, chamomile, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, and gentian root, without artificial flavors

Both liqueurs will be available online and shipping to 42 states beginning National Coffee Day. Pennsylvania Fine Wine & Spirit stores will have the liqueurs in stock. You can also find bottles at Char & Stave locations in Ardmore and Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania.

Char & Stave invites coffee lovers to their cafés on September 29 to commemorate the launch from 8 am to 12 pm. Guests can enjoy a 12 oz. cup of Everyday Blend coffee, on the house. For those of legal drinking age, complimentary tastings of the new spirits will be available throughout the day.
