Tatuaje Mummy Redux Haunts Humidors Once More This October
The monsters are back—and this time, they’ve returned with a vengeance. Tatuaje Cigars has officially announced the anticipated release of the Tatuaje Mummy Redux, marking the fifth chapter in their Redux Monsters line. For those in the know, the name “Mummy” conjures memories of a rich, complex smoke that originally captivated collectors back in 2012. Now, more than a decade later, this fan-favorite blend is rising again—resurrected with precision, nostalgia, and just enough mystery to stir your humidor’s darkest corners.

The Tatuaje Mummy Redux stays true to its origins, measuring a stately 7 ½ x 47 and finished with a closed foot, designed to intensify the initial draw and slowly unravel the cigar’s complex flavor story. The blend showcases a beautifully aged Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper over an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler, expertly crafted at the My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. From the first light, the cigar delivers a hauntingly smooth profile, interweaving notes of earth, pepper, roasted coffee bean, and a whisper of dark chocolate—perfect for cooler October evenings when shadows grow long and spirits rise.
Tatuaje Mummy Redux: Coffins, Collectors, and Cult Appeal
As with every release in the Tatuaje Monsters universe, presentation matters—and the Tatuaje Mummy Redux does not disappoint. Each cigar arrives entombed in a coffin-style cabinet box of 13, priced at a hauntingly appropriate $13 per cigar. But this limited run is more than just spooky branding. Out of the 5,000 boxes being produced, 4,300 will ship in standard form, while the remaining 700 are dressed to impress in sequentially numbered collector editions—including 666 numbered boxes and a handful marked “XX” to mark special occasions or retailer exclusives.
Only 65,000 cigars will be made available in total, making this release not only one of the most flavorful of the season but also among the rarest. Retail allocations will be tight, and shipping begins in early October—just in time for Halloween and the cigar community’s unofficial start to the fall smoking season.
