The Davidoff Boutique Selection ties three distinct cigar blends to three specific addresses — Geneva, Hong Kong, and New York Madison — and unlike most limited releases, it isn’t going anywhere. Launching September 1, the line is structured as a permanent fixture at each of those three Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores, sold nowhere else, with each blend built specifically around what that store’s own clientele tends to reach for.
Three Blends, Three Flagship Stores
All three Davidoff Boutique Selection cigars share the same toro format — RG 54 by six inches, a 45-to-60-minute smoke — but the construction underneath diverges more than a shared vitola might suggest. Geneva’s blend runs four Dominican filler tobaccos from distinct terroirs under a Dominican binder and Ecuadorian wrapper, landing at an intensity of 4 out of 5 with notes of earth, oak, and leather. Hong Kong uses the same filler-and-wrapper structure but tunes the result toward creaminess, scoring a 3 out of 5 with vanilla, brioche, and oak on the palate.
New York Madison breaks from the other two more meaningfully: three Dominican filler terroirs incorporating seco and visus leaves, bound in Ecuadorian leaf, and finished with a Dominican wrapper — the only blend of the three built around a Dominican wrapper rather than Ecuadorian. That swap lines up with its listed profile of cream, wood, and oak at a 4 out of 5 intensity, giving each city’s cigar a genuinely different technical identity rather than just a different name on the same construction.

The Davidoff Boutique Selection’s Exclusivity Model
Rather than a one-time drop, Davidoff is producing the Boutique Selection in recurring limited batches, keeping the line in ongoing rotation without opening it up beyond the three flagship locations. That approach sits between the brand’s market-specific Exclusive Editions, which are tied to entire countries, and a true one-off release — a narrower, address-level version of the same idea. Each box of ten arrives bundled together in a factory-floor presentation, marked with a certified boutique blend icon and Limited Batch designation to signal which run a given box belongs to.
Where the Davidoff Boutique Selection Fits in the Brand’s Portfolio
Javier González, SVP Head Global Marketing & Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff, framed the line around a specific idea of luxury: “The cigars are expressions of place, of expertise, and of the exceptional relationships we share with our flagship store clientele.” That location-first logic isn’t new to Davidoff — the brand’s Voyager’s Selection Black Band built its own story around terroir travel within a single box — but the Boutique Selection pushes the concept further, tying each blend not just to a country or region, but to the exact retail floor where a customer would buy it.
The real appeal here isn’t any single blend — it’s that three of Davidoff’s own flagship stores now each have a cigar that belongs to them and nowhere else. For collectors who make the trip to Geneva, Hong Kong, or New York Madison, that’s a reason to buy more than one box. Availability begins September 1 at the three participating Davidoff flagship stores, though the brand notes launch timing may vary slightly by country.
